The 2017 North Devon Links Open

Are you looking for an amazing golfing experience for amateur players? Then, make sure you don’t miss the North Devon Links Open that will take place during 3 days’ time starting on Monday, October 30th. The 3 courses where the competition will take place are rated in the UK’s top 100 golf courses and we’ll talk more about that later on.

Men and women alike are welcome to sign up. The individual entry fee is £165 while the entry of the pair costs £330. The registration is done online on their official website by following a few simple steps. You have to provide personal details like your full name, email, contact phone number, the golf club you belong to and your handicap.

After that, you move on to the payment phase where you choose whether to pay by credit or debit card. At this point, you have to disclose your physical address though. The entry fee must be paid until Friday, October 6th but you should hurry because there are limited spots and once they’re sold out you can no longer participate in this year’s competition.

The top 3 players will get money prizes as follows: £100 1st place, £75 2nd place and £50 3rd place. In addition, the winner also gets free entry to the North Devon Links Open 2018. As you see, the prizes are symbolic considering they don’t even cover the entry fee. Still, it’s more about the fun you’ll have and the pride to win an important amateur golfing competition that’s being praised both inside and outside the UK.

Golf Courses

The competition starts at Royal North Devon course on October 30th. This is ranked the no. 2 course in Devon and 55th in the entire England. Old Tom Morris and Herbert Fowler brought their contributions to the development of this course. No other location would be better to start this lovely golfing experience.

The contest continues at Saunton West on October 31st. This is the 3rd best course in Devon and 65th in England and it was originally created in the 1930s. Lots of country championships took place here and offered quite a challenge to golfers of all levels.

And last, on November 1st, the North Devon Links Open ends at Saunton East, the best course in Devon and 12th in England. You could say they saved the best for last. You will have lots of fun on the undulating fairways and challenging fields throughout an entire 18-hole game.
